A Fan Speaks Out About Office Accounting's Seamless Integration

Felecia Dixson, EA, is an avid fan of Office Accounting and became a certified Microsoft Office Accountant consultant primarily because of the product's seamless integration.

 

Dixson and her firm, of Alfermann & Gray Co. CPA's, LLC, provide consulting services for other CPA firms, as well as performing standard CPA functions like bookkeeping and taxes.

 

"I value the fact that Office Accounting runs off a general ledger," Dixson says. "All other products aren't required to run off of account numbers. If you've got an account number, it makes the whole process much easier."

 

She points out that most people use Office Accounting in conjunction with a point-of-sale program. "It's real-time account management," she says.

 

How important is Office Accounting’s integration capabilities to Dixson's clients? "It's very important," Dixson says. "With office integration, we can create our own invoices, statements, etc. And, we can add our own verbiage. You can pull information into Excel, manipulate the data and next month, use it again without having to reinvent the wheel."

 

The fact that it works directly with Outlook and Business Contact Manager provides one family of software that does everything. "Most clients say it's really easy to use, too," Dixson says, adding that Office Accounting really doesn't present specific challenges or broad learning curves for clients who switch from other accounting programs.

 

"It's easy enough just to jump in," she says.
